Since his dictionary Artists in Britain since 1945, Buckman has contributed to Macmillan’s The Dictionary of Art, Brian McFarlane’s The Encyclopedia of British Film and produced his acclaimed book From Bow to Biennale: Artists of the East London Group. He has been an advisor to the UK’s Public Catalogue Foundation and a council member of The Critics’ Circle.
